Builder account is free but for commercial use, its charged on per user basis.

There are free builder accounts (but you may need to be linked to an existing paid account - I can't recall), but otherwise Quickbase is not free.

You can create a free builder account to get started, experiment, and learn things. However, to go over 3 users you need a paid account.
